A powerflush is a high-velocity, deep-cleaning process that uses a specialized pumping machine and cleansing chemicals to remove accumulated sludge, rust, and limescale from your boiler, pipes, and radiators. It is primarily used to restore heating efficiency, eliminate system noises, and validate new boiler warranties

The Process:

JD Plumbing & Gas Engineering connect a powerful flushing machine to your central heating system to complete the following steps: 

• Chemical circulation: A mix of water and descaling/sludge-breaking chemicals is pumped through the entire system at high speeds.

• Individual flushing: The flow of water is reversed, and each radiator is flushed out one by one to clear blockages.

• Refill and protection: The contaminated water is completely drained and replaced with fresh water, along with a chemical inhibitor to prevent future rust and corrosion. Many engineers also install a magnetic filter on the system for ongoing protection
